POSITION

1. Purpose of Job

1.1. To work within the Audit team.

2. Main Technical Requirements

2.1. Competent of completing a full audit including planning, audit and finalisation.

2.2. Able to investigate all audit issues to arrive at proposed action/conclusions.

2.3. Competent in preparing a set of full accounts with all standard disclosures.

2.4. Confident in dealing with client staff at all levels.

2.5. Ability to draft an audit quote for a new client.

2.6. Ability to plan a complete new audit i.e. setting up of a testing approach from scratch.

2.7. Competent in preparing / assisting clients with management accounts and relevant internal systems.

2.8. Competent with deferred tax calculations.

2.9. Competent in preparing / assisting clients with management accounts and relevant internal systems.

2.10. Competent in completing a specialist audit. E.g. pensions, charities, solicitors.

2.11. Able to carry out ad hoc assignments with assistance.

3. Experience

3.1. Minimum 2 years professional experience

3.2. Have achieved or be in Final stage of achieving chosen qualification (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA)

3.3. Have ideally worked on a variety of: Assignments- audit/accounts preparation Client types- company/partnership/soletraders Size of client- £5 to £15m turnover

3.4. Involved in supervision/coaching of more junior staff

3.5. Be able to manage own workload

3.6. Able to meet agreed deadlines

3.7. Able to work within set budget

4. Software & other Equipment to be used

4.1. Competent in application of all relevant IT packages. E.g. Word, Excel, also preferred SAPA (training will be given)

5. Qualifications required 5.1. To have achieved full-qualified status or be in the final stage of achieving ICAS, ICAEW or ACCA .

6. Specialist training required
